Welcome to Mycenae House & Gardens – a historic building set in the heart of South East London, dedicated to serving the community through its 23 rooms and halls for hire. Located in urban woodland and tucked away off the main road, the location is an oasis of calm, of opportunity and with a warm welcome.

Mycenae House is all about people, their wellbeing, their development, their happiness and their engagement with each other. It has a driven social mission which results in a vibrant and busy programme of on average 125 activities each week delivered by many independent groups, along with a self-produced programme of social inclusion work (under the Reach Out Projects banner) and cultural and social events.

The friendly cafe bar serves as the social heart of the house, with a wide range of food and drink available. With free WiFi available it is also used extensively by remote workers.

The venue is a popular location for wedding receptions, birthday parties and family celebrations as well as live concerts, theatre and dance performances, conferences and community gatherings.

It prides itself on the friendliness and professionalism of the staff team and the warm and supportive atmosphere that’s generated from the positive relationships with the people that visit the house.

Mycenae House is managed by the charity, the Vanbrugh Community Association and with the support of the Royal Borough of Greenwich. It is Not-for-Profit Charity and all income is generated from its activities to serve the community development work.

Mycenae House is open for all activities:
Mon-Thurs – 9am-10.30pm
Fri – 9am-6pm plus evenings for live music + events
Sat – 9am-5pm plus evenings for private functions
(Closed on Sundays and Bank Holidays)
