Ukrainian Arts Hub exhibition

Ukrainian Arts Hub’s new exhibition of paintings is now on display for Jan + Feb 2025

Ukrainian Arts Hub‘s new exhibition is now on display for Jan + Feb 2025 on the ground floor corridor at Mycenae House. Featuring work from Yaroslava Bespyanska, Natalia Popravka, Iren Turcanas, Yana Turtsanash & Olga Girymaslo – Smith.

Ukrainian Arts Hub (UAH) was created after Russia’s large scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. Hundreds of families fleeing the war arrived to Greenwich and surrounding areas. It was clear that many of the children would not be able to continue their extracurricular education in Schools of Art, so abundant in Ukraine. At the same time, many Ukrainian artists and musicians were also coming. Hence UAH was founded, to provide a platform for these two groups of people to meet and benefit each other.

As the 3 year anniversary of the war in the Ukraine approaches, this exhibition is a reminder that despite all the difficulties and hardship, Ukrainian culture survives and develops; that despite the ever more raging war, its people aim to remain resilient and positive.
