Open House London

Mycenae House is a former convent run by the Little Sisters of Assumption but is now a community venue with a rich history and story. This tour, talk and exhibition will articulate the building’s life as a convent, as a place of worship and dedication and as a community venue.

Mycenae House along with its illustrious neighbouring house has a unique and interesting history. Much of its time as a closed convent was shrouded in mystery but after many years of research and snuffling around, several local historians have pieced together the story which we think is mostly accurate. There are also a few sadly inaccurate but intriguing stories which are well worth sharing.
